Beryl and Floredelis, the land she lives in, are both coming of age in this fantasy novel. Beryl, a 15-year-old dreamer and lover of fairy tales, longs for adventure. But she dreams of an evil man, the Shadow Man, and believes he represents the evil within her. She foresees the destruction of her beloved land. But the danger is real, and Beryl has the power–of deep listening and compassion–to save it. She journeys to Brother Earth’s land, where she makes friends with gnomes and fairies and faces initiation in the Hill of the Grandmothers. Beryl perhaps even finds love along the way-as does her godmother Ava.

These richly imaginative stories, each one based on one letter of the alphabet, tell how the star children came to earth and follow the adventures of Wondra and his friends.

Mother Earth has created a wonderful place to live, but she longs for star children to come and share it with her. These richly imaginative stories, each one based on one letter of the alphabet, tell how the star children came to earth and follow the adventures of Wondra and his friends–Blue the Bear, Gloria the Gnome, Thunderpaws the Cat, and many others. The stories begin with A and end with Z, but in between, the stories meander through the letters, following the seasons, to bring the journey to life.

In Waldorf schools, the letters are taught out of stories–and not taught in alphabetical order. Susan created these stories and images to teach letters to her class through nature stories. Each week, they heard a new story, drew their own pictures, made the letters with their bodies, and finally drew their own letters in their letter books. It was a grand adventure–shared here for all to enjoy.

In this book, you’ll meet the dream dragon, King Winter, Mother Holle, Uncle Unicorn, and many more. Let the letters take you on a wondrous journey through Mother Earth’s land.

The missing chapter!

When I first published Beyond the Land of Dreams, somehow (because I missed it!) chapter 41 was missing from the book–and chapter 40 was in there twice.

I sent a copy of the missing chapter to whoever I knew of, but if you are missing chapter 41, here it is. With my apologies.

If you’d like to read chapter 41 without the rest of the book, you’re welcome to take a look as well.

Hold onto those books–I’m predicting they’ll be valuable someday!

And just so you know, my friends found it funny that Susan, the professional editor, published her book minus a chapter. Ha ha!
