#IWSG–Writing with Nanowrimo

The first Wednesday of the month–the first day of the month and so it’s time for the Insecure Writers Support Group. insecure2bwriters2bsupport2bgroup2bbadgeI was home sick today with a fever, etc., but am feeling a little better. I spent a lot of time resting and some time working on photoshop with a couple of illustrations for my about to be revised portfolio.

Still in progress, but getting closer!

I didn’t do NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) this year. It always takes place in October and the goal is to write a 50,000 word complete draft of a novel. I’ve done it twice–well one time was Camp NaNoWriMo, which takes place in the summer.

This months (optional) IWSG question: Win or not, do you usually finish your NaNo project? Have any of them gone on to be published?

I did finish 50,000 words and completed the first draft of two novels. Neither of them has been published. One I’ve spent a fair amount of time revising–Double Heart, Double Swan: A tale of love and lust in two lifetimes. And the other is still sitting neglected in my computer–it’s the sequel to Beyond the Land of Dreams.

Off to bed for me now! Tomorrow, I’m going to check around and see what other IWSGers have to say about NaNoWriMo!

Thanks for stopping by.

I am a writer, handworker, artist and teacher (a WHAT!), and a mom of two beautiful daughters who are amazingly 17 and 21. I am working on getting my first book, a fantasy novel for young people, published and am busy spinning on my new spinning wheel. I have been a Waldorf early childhood teacher for 10 years now, and before that, I was a lawyer. Teaching is much more fun.
