#ISWG-Insecure Writer’s Group Post

It’s the first Wednesday of the month again, and one year since I discovered the Insecure Writer’s support  Group (it’s a blog hop, so feel free to join in) during my first #AtoZChallenge.  I’m on my second one, now.

Here’s the prompt for this month:

Have you taken advantage of the annual A to Z Challenge in terms of marketing, networking, publicity for your book? What were the results?

Well, I haven’t published a book yet, so the answer is no.  I’m just doing it for fun.  Imagine that!  I’ve discovered some wonderful blogs and gotten lots (for me) of visitors here from A to Z and IWSG and that is enough.  I guess that’s networking.  And I’ve tried to support other writers/bloggers that I’ve found through both of these–found some books I really enjoyed, too.

If you’re a writer, I recommend checking out IWSG, they have lots of great resources, many of which I haven’t taken advantage of yet, and are starting a book club on Goodreads and have a twitter pitch party (those are fun!) coming up in July.

That’s all for now.

Thanks for stopping by!

I am a writer, handworker, artist and teacher (a WHAT!), and a mom of two beautiful daughters who are amazingly 17 and 21. I am working on getting my first book, a fantasy novel for young people, published and am busy spinning on my new spinning wheel. I have been a Waldorf early childhood teacher for 10 years now, and before that, I was a lawyer. Teaching is much more fun.
