To Wonder at Etsy—or—

IMG_0242I just made my first sale on ETSY!

I got a message in my inbox a couple of days ago that someone bought a skein of  handspun yarn from my ETSY shop.  I was very excited.  I had opened the shop in the summer, but haven’t done anything to promote it (it’s on my to do list along with putting more stuff in my shop).  But it was so easy.  They generated a packing list for me and and address label complete with postage and told me how to mark it as sent.  I went to Target and World Market to get packing supplies because I wanted the package to look nice.  But let’s face it–wrapping stuff is not my best thing.

Anyhow, it’s on its way now.  And I hope she likes it.  I feel like a real business woman–I guess it doesn’t take much.  Maybe I’ll even put some more stuff in my shop soon.

I am a writer, handworker, artist and teacher (a WHAT!), and a mom of two beautiful daughters who are amazingly 17 and 21. I am working on getting my first book, a fantasy novel for young people, published and am busy spinning on my new spinning wheel. I have been a Waldorf early childhood teacher for 10 years now, and before that, I was a lawyer. Teaching is much more fun.
